I know that it has been a while and I feel really dreadful that I am way behind with my posts. However hopefully I can now catch-up and reveal some more of the amazing couples and people we have met and the wonderful weddings we have shared in over the last couple of months.
One such fantastic wedding and couple was the beautiful and effervescent Katie and her very ‘cool man’ Luke. I first met these guys when I took them for one of our ‘show and tell’ drives and they were a lot of fun and I could tell from our first meeting that their day was going to be a really enjoyable one.
On the day it was only a rather short drive for ‘Dormy’ and I over to Barwon Heads to collect Luke and his mates and after getting to know each other we headed off for a great laid-back cruise out along 13th Beach. Luke is a very easy-going, good-natured guy and he and his mates were a lot of fun and they were all nice and relaxed as I dropped them back at ‘The Heads’ where Luke was to await the arrival of his special lady.
Again, it was only a short drive to collect the stunning Katie and her gorgeous Bridesmaids who were both such good fun and really helped to make Katie’s day even more enjoyable with their energy and exuberance. Katie was glowing and so looking forward to marrying the love of her life, however I did have to take her and the ladies for a bit of a spin down the main street of Barwon Heads to show her off before we arrived at the ceremony.
What a great location ‘The Heads’ is with a magnificent vista looking out over the river mouth and I must admit that ‘Kombi Karma’ was certainly there for Katie and Luke as the weather for their day was goldilocks’ perfect. As Katie walked down the aisle I could not help but notice a tear in Luke’s eye as he beheld his beautiful soul mate for the first time on their wedding day. What followed was a simple, moving, at times funny but very loving ceremony that certainly highlighted the obvious love and affection that this delightful couple has for each other and there was indeed a very loud cheer from all assembled when they were pronounced.
After congratulations and pics with family and friends I loaded everyone up into ‘Dormy’ and we headed off to a number of great local locations under the guidance of wonderful photog Danielle Thomas, (www.onedaycollective.com.au). Danielle was a pleasure to work with and managed to keep everyone nice and relaxed and really enjoying in the moment, way cool.
All too soon it was time to take them all back to ‘The Heads’ for their reception and for their celebrations to really kick-off and I was saddened to have to say goodbye to such a great group of people. But as I headed home across the Bridge I again gave thanks that I get to do what I do and that I am availed the opportunity to be involved even in a small way in such a special moment in the lives of some really wonderful people.
Thank you so much Katie and Luke for letting me share in your special day and I hope that you were as happy with your ‘Kombi Karma’ as I was in bringing it to you.
I certainly wish you both much love, joy, health and happiness and of course continued great ‘Kombi Karma’ in your futures together.
